The Himalayas don't forgive a badly-kept machine. Every bike is fully serviced before it
leaves us — tyres, brakes, chain, levers checked and logged. You ride out with a helmet,
basic gear, a tool kit, a spare tube and a number that actually picks up if anything goes
wrong on the pass.
